Color Paint Matching

The paint finish is the first thing you see on a trailer and what is often used as a barometer to judge the quality of the entire trailer.  If the paint is rough, full of orange peel, the base coat has dust and dirt, or the metallic is blotchy or striped, then the trailer must not be very good… and that’s usually the case.   

At Bushtec, we know that paint is one of the most important components of your trailer, so we go to extremes to make sure it’s done right.  Every Bushtec trailer undergoes an extensive cosmetic preparation process to assure the exterior finish is as high quality as the suspension performance.  Using our in-house mixing system of urethane basecoat toners, Bushtec technicians mix and blend each paint formula to assure the ultimate match between your motorcycle and trailer. 

Bushtec doesn’t believe in the idea of “just getting the color close”, we believe in true color match.  Most color matches are so good that you could repair the motorcycle using Bushtec paint and detect little if any difference.  Over the top of the basecoat paint are applied several coats of high solids clear to protect the color and provide incredible gloss.
	Not only can Bushtec match the single color or two-tone paint finishes common on today’s touring motorcycles, we can match older motorcycles, cars, and any vehicle paint finish, including satin clear coats.

	Quality paint is not cheap and this is definitely a case of “you get what you pay for”.  Bushtec paints the body components of its trailers prior to final assembly so there is no chance for lifting or peeling due to a taped edge.  Every part undergoes a comprehensive clear coat sanding with very fine grit sandpaper and compound buffing process to remove any orange peel or dust in the clear coat, resulting in a mirror-like show-quality finish.
